Tennis Courts

Narrabundah Tennis Courts are available for sporting activities and social events such as BBQ s and birthday parties. The third court could be used for cricket or other sports. Hiring fees are the cheapest in the ACT. Please inquire at Narrabundah News

The restoration of the Narrabundah Tennis Courts has been the central project of ONCC Inc since 2001. The renewal process has included the upgrade and restoration of courts, club house and surrounding gardens. This once derelict site has been a focal point for the strong community spirit within the Narrabundah area.

Over 300 volunteers worked on the renovation of the Narrabundah Tennis Courts & Garden Centre

Beautiful setting, classic club room with all necessities and secure for children. The facility   contains two artificial grass courts laid on a 60 year old base of Paddies Rovers Granite and a third court idea for practice with a 6 x 3 meter practice wall on the northern end.

There is off-street parking and it is an easy 100 meter stroll to the Narrabundah Shops.

Sensory Garden

The sensory garden, designed by Ric Allen, provides a meandering shady pathway between Kootara Cres & Boolimba St. The brick path were recycled Manuka bricks laid by John Keeley. There is a bench table on the Kootara Cres side and seating under the Mulberry tree on the Boolimba St side. The garbage bins are emptied by volunteers, and unfortunately the garden has been abused by some anti-social elements who trash the area.

 Mill Creek Rehabilitation

The Mill Creek project has been focused on the re-vegetation of the creek through the addition of Australian native trees and grasses. The project was undertaken after the removal of Willow trees that were chocking the creek. The project is now producing a beautiful treed corridor along this part of Jerrabomberra Creek and is a great place for the community to walk the dog, jog, play sport or bird watch.

Narrabundah Festival

ONCC Inc has organised the Narrabundah Festival at our local shops since 2010.  The festival is normally a few weeks after Canberra Day. The purpose is to showcase non-profit community organisations  and give them an opportunity to fundraise or promote themselves in a festive atmosphere.
