Callum Brae Nature Reserve is located at Narrabundah and Mugga Lanes, Symonston. It protects critically endangered Yellow Box and Blakely’s Red Gum woodland, home to the endangered Gang Gang Cockatoos. Friends of Callum Brae are opposed to the crematorium proposal due to its proximity to the border of Callum Brae Nature Reserve, threatening critically endangered Yellow Box and Blakely Red Gums Woodlands as well as the Gang Gang cockatoo.
